about

Vegas and Kil return to the scene with their sophomore album "You're All Welcome" which serves as their follow up to their crtically acclaimed 2010 album "The Grey Area." The duo hasn't strayed from their style of hip hop in between albums, in fact, it's just like Guru stated "the rhyme style is elevated, the styles of beats have elevated." For "You're All Welcome" Vegas allows more of his personality to shine through in his rhymes with songs like "Mama's Love", "the Intro" and "You're All Welcome." While Kil leaves behind his familiar 82-90 bpm boom bap comfrot zone for more uptempo bangers on songs like the albums 1st single "Song For You", "Awww Yeah" featuring Kel Spencer "and "Do It For Brooklyn" featuring Woodz. But don't get it twisted, while the duo shows the ability to switch up their style, they both continue to bring you that classic hip hop sound with songs like "HIStory", "The Haterz Anthem", Friendz" and "Split Need Be Fair" featuring Woodz and Viral Audio. And while your favorite rapper has "features" on 90% of the tracks on their album, "You're All Welcome" only has 3 guests on 4 tracks while Vegas holds down the other 70% of the album dolo which is unheard of in 2012. So when dealing with Vegas and Kil's music the moral of the story is simple, if you want dope hip hop in 2012, look no further cause they've got that game on lock.
